                  The $5 Indian head coin has a long and storied history dating all the way back to 1795 when the very first $5 “Half Eagle” coin was minted.  In fact, the $5 gold coin, then called the “Capped Bust,” was the very first gold coin to be minted in the U.S.  The Indian Head design was a new journey into a coin series specifically created to be beautiful.  The interesting thing about the new Indian Head design is that it was stamped in incuse rather than being raised from the surface during striking.  The $5 & $2.50 Indian Heads are the first and only coins to be minted this way.  This means that the flat surfaces of the coin are the highest points giving the coin a carved or sunken feel.

                    A 4th Way?

                by Alfred Adask

Those who like conspiracy theories may enjoy this article.   Those who reject conspiracy theories may find this article absurd.

  Unfortunately, we live at a time when reality and conspiracy theories overlap to such a degree that it’s increasingly difficult to discern between reality and fantasy.  Our growing inability to discern between truth and lies may be conducive to paranoia.

Richard Russell, the “godfather” of newsletter writers, recently claimed,
“You and I are living through the greatest bubble in world history.  What could it be?  Is it the world population growth?  Is it the explosion of world communication?  Is it the progress in health?”

“It might be any one of those, but no—it's the credit bubble.

“Think of it.  The US now has a national debt of over $16 trillion.  That doesn't include incurred debt that is not on the books.  The question is—how will this enormous debt ever be handled?”
In fact, the National Debt may be $85 trillion (Shadowstats.com) or $202 trillion (Congressional Budget Office)—and therefore far greater than the $16 trillion that the government claims.  If so, the National Debt problem may be 5 to 10 times greater than Mr. Russel fears.

Even so, Mr. Russell offers three means of “handling” the “enormous debt”:
“(1) It might be refinanced, meaning that it might be (if possible) kicked down the road like an old tin can.”
 I.e., gov-co might borrow more money in order to pay off the interest on the existing debt.  It would be the national equivalent of using our Visa to pay off our MasterCard to pay off our American Express.  It’s a strategy based on the faint hope that we can buy some time and perhaps “get lucky” before we must confront the ever-growing National Debt.

In fact, we’re already “refinancing” insofar as we engage in deficit financing (borrowing to make good on current debts) and the Federal Reserve is purchasing the majority of our U.S. treasuries with currency “freshly spun” off the Fed’s printing presses.   But such “refinancing” only postpones the day of reckoning—and increases the debt.
“(2) The debt could be addressed through devaluation [inflation], meaning destroying the purchasing power of the dollar.”
Thanks to inflation (the kinder, gentler form of debt repudiation), the National Debt can be repaid with “cheaper dollars”.  Our creditors will be paid in full—nominally.   If we borrowed $16 trillion, we’ll repay $16 trillion.  But the creditors will be paid in inflated dollars that have only a fraction of the purchasing power of the dollars originally borrowed.

Result?  Inflation will reduce the National Debt—as measured by purchasing power—but creditors will lose part of their assets.   American’s will be robbed and impoverished by inflation intended to repudiate some of the National Debt.

Some people describe inflation as a “hidden tax”. It’s not.  It’s a hidden robbery.  It’s a “taking” of property from creditors to the government debtor and therefore a violation of the 5th Amendment to the Constitution.

Inflation is the most likely way that the National Debt will be diminished, since we’re already on this path.  Politically, inflation is the most palatable way to eliminate the debt, since inflation attracts the least attention from voters.  I.e., the taxpayers (or “ignorant fools” as government fondly describes them) don’t understand they’re being robbed by inflation and therefore don’t object to the robbery.   Gov-co prefers inflation because it’s like taking candy from a baby.
“(3) The National Debt might be repudiated, which would be a default (unthinkable, since this would be an admission of sovereign bankruptcy).”
What can’t be paid, won’t be paid.  The National Debt is already too great to ever repay, so, one way or another, our gov-co will eventually repudiate most of the debt.  (I’d guess 80% to 90% of the current National Debt can’t be repaid; I’d bet that at least 50% of the National debt will be repudiated by inflation and/or outright default.)

One question is whether gov-co will one day simply say, “Sorry, folks, we’re broke, busted, bankrupt, and those of you holding U.S. bonds are SOL”—or, if they’ll only rely on the second option:  inflation (reneging on the debt in a slow, long-term manner that most people don’t understand or object to).  Inflation robs us slowly, over time.  Outright debt repudiation is like removing a bandage with one quick, painful yank.   Inflation and overt repudiation both accomplish the same thing (they rob the creditors) but one is quick and shocking while the other is slow and almost imperceptible.

Thus, Mr. Russell sees three ways to deal with the debt: 1) Postpone the inevitable moment of debt repudiation by refinancing (borrowing); 2) “Repudiation Lite” (inflation); and 3) “Repudiation Harsh” (a sudden and open refusal to pay the debt).

•  But I see a 4th Way to deal with the National Debt that’s even more severe than open repudiation:  Kill the Creditors.

If the creditors die, most of the governmental debts owed to them won’t be assigned to their heirs.   Therefore, gov-co’s debts to most creditors could die with the creditors.

Most Americans don’t mind if the gov-co whacks some of its creditors since most people assume that the gov-co’s creditors are all rich.   After all, the world could do with a few less bankers and billionaires, right?

But, au contraire, public school graduate.    The majority of the gov-co’s creditors are not rich.   Instead, most of gov-co’s creditors are poor and non-productive.  It is the great unwashed who comprise the majority of the government’s creditors because they are owed most of the government’s existing debt and future services.

For example, have you paid into So-So Security during your life?  Did the government promise to support you after you retire for the next 20 or 30 years before you pass on?   Then gov-co owes you a substantial debt and you are one of government’s creditors.

Right now, there are about 62 million Americans—one fifth of the population—who already receive So-So Security.  The average SS beneficiary receives $1,100 a month, the gov-co’s current debt to SS retirees/“creditors” is about $820 billion per year.  With growing numbers of retirees and inflation, over the next 30 years, that could easily exceed $100 trillion.

But there’s no currency in the SS accounts.  Over the past 40 years, gov-co borrowed virtually all of the money that you contributed into the SS account and left nothing in exchange but a row of filing cabinets filled with paper I.O.U.s (promises to repay).

•  What about Medicaid, Medicare and ObamaCare?  Did you vote for a particular candidate or party because they promised to provide you with free health care?   Well then, based on gov-co’s political promise to pay some or all of your health care costs, you have again become one of gov-co’s creditors who has a claim on some “unfunded liabilities” (government debts).

How ‘bout government pensions.  Got one?   Did you pay into a government pension over the years?  Did the gov-co promise to provide you with a nice, fat pension when you retired?  Then you are one of the gov-co’s creditors.

And, if so, who did you say is holding your pension funds and keeping them safe?

The government?!

Oh, dear.

Well, I hate to tell you, but there might be a teensy problem—it’s called the National Debt.   We’re living at a time when gov-co finances are so strained that it’s mathematically impossible for gov-co to pay many, probably most of its creditors.

According to CNN, So-So Security operated at a $47.8 billion deficit in A.D. 2012.  Medicare and Medicaid are strained to the point of breaking.  Pension funds often consist of nothing more tangible than IOUs.   Unemployment is up, tax revenue is down, and access to credit is diminishing.

In A.D. 2010, government received $2.2 trillion in tax revenues but spent $3.5 trillion.  The $1.3 trillion difference (37% of expenditures) in was achieved by going deeper into debt.   It’s no better today.  In A.D. 2012, the gov-co received $2.5 trillion in revenue, and spent $3.7 trillion—leaving a $1.4 trillion annual deficit (about 38% of expenditures).

The fact that government must go deeper into debt every year in order to sustain its existing promises (debts) to American taxpayers, senior citizens and even foreign creditors is evidence that the gov-co is broke.  Already, the government can’t pay over one-third of its day-to-day operating expenses. What percentage will be unpayable next year or five years from now?

•  People don’t realize the significance of persistent deficit financing. People think deficit financing is like using your MasterCard to buy a bunch of toys for Christmas, running up a temporary debt, and then repaying that debt over the next three months.

No.  “Deficit financing” means the gov-co has relied on its MasterCard to buy toys for all the good little taxpayers and special interests for 40 years—but paid off only a pittance of the resulting debt.  In sum, that National Debt isn’t temporary.  It’s permanent.  It will never be repaid in full.

Deficit financing is properly compared to a brother-in-law who’s figured out a way to live off his credit cards for 2 years without repaying any of the loans.  It doesn’t take much brains to see that your bro’-in-law is headed for a financial catastrophe.  Same is true for gov-co.

For the past 40 years, gov-co has continued to borrow and spend based on the presumption that the US economy was so strong that, surely, the gov-co would always be able to squeeze enough tax revenues out of the prosperous American people to repay whatever debts it entered into.

The American people believed that presumption.   Foreign creditors believed it.  Even the federal government believed in its endless capacity to borrow.

Everyone was so sure that the gov-co could eventually pay all of its debts that creditors kept lending to gov-co until:  1) the National Debt grew so large that somewhere between 50% and 90% of it can never be repaid; and 2) the prosperous US economy slipped into the Great Recession which inhibits gov-co from raising enough taxes to pay the existing debt.

The gov-co can’t pay off the majority of the National Debt.

So what’s it gonna do?   Richard Russell posted three options—borrow (postpone), inflate or openly repudiate.

•  I’m suggesting that the government might also consider killing many of its creditors.   Of course, there’s no point to killing those who hold US bonds. The bonds will be assigned to heirs and therefore the bond-debt will continue even if the creditor dies.

But, in many cases (So-So-Security, pensions, Medicaid, Medicare, ObamaCare, food stamps, welfare) if the creditor (one who’s taken the government’s promise to provide future payments or services) dies, so does part of the gov-co’s debt.

I understand that suggesting the gov-co might kill its American creditors seems farfetched.   Some readers are probably shaking their heads and saying that guy Adask must be nuts.

Maybe so.

But riddle me this:

1)  The federally-sponsored National Research Council and Institute of Medicine recently ranked the USA last in the top 17 countries in life expectancy.  When I was a child, we ranked #1.  There may be any number of “innocent” reasons to explain why American life-expectancy has fallen to #17—but what’s the reason that government makes no significant effort to reverse that fall?

It’s an interesting coincidence that, as our life expectancy falls (or at least fails to increase), senior citizens (creditors) die at an earlier age and they collect less on the debt owed them by gov-co.  Gov-co may not be working to directly cause our premature demise, but they don’t seem overly-concerned if we pass on sooner rather than later.

2) Why has the same government that fiercely advocates gun control nevertheless ordered most of two billion rounds of military-grade ammunition be purchased for its domestic employees?    It may be nutty to wonder if gov-co is planning to shoot a bunch of Americans, but what th’ heck are all those bullets for?  Does the gov-co anticipate some major social and political upheaval over the next several years?  Does the government expect riots that might be contained only by shooting some of the impoverished protesters?

3) If ObamaCare is supposed to supply “universal health care” for all Americans, why was it intended to be rationed? Rationing means that Obama & Co. knew from the beginning the ObamaCare would not provide enough medical care to meet all of America’s needs.   Given the relationship between medical care and longevity, if the medical services under ObamaCare are known and intended to be insufficient, it follows that some people must suffer a premature death.  These early deaths won’t be accidental.  They’re intended by the mathematics of ObamaCare.  The only questions are how many will die prematurely, how premature will their deaths be, and how soon will the premature deaths become obvious?

4)  ObamaCare will include “death panels” to decide how to ration the limited health care resources.  When medical resources are contested between a young person and a senior citizen, the death panel will steer the resources to the young (who are lending money to the gov-co by means of So-So Security contributions, taxes, etc.) and thereby accelerate the demise of the senior-citizen who, incidentally, is a “creditor” who’s collecting money from the gov-co.

5)  And then there’s stories about FEMA concentration camps, armed drones in our skies, and training programs for American police to function as if they were an occupying army.  Yes, many of those stories may be exaggerated or even outright lies, but some of those stories are true—or may become true in the near future.

•  Something is wrong.  Something is going on in this country that suggests the gov-co expects and is preparing for moments of significant violence and increased mortality within The United States of America.

I won’t say that this potential violence is actually intended to kill some significant number of American creditors (retirees, welfare recipients, etc.).  But I can say that the deaths of some significant number of American “creditors” would be an inevitable consequence of a serious social collapse—and with the demise of a significant number of American “creditors,” there’d also be a significant decline in the true size of the National Debt.

Government may not be planning to kill any Americans, but it does have a significant financial interest in allowing many of us to die “before our time”.

Will government act on that interest?

6 Essential Attributes of Successful Survivalists
By SurvivingSurvivalism.com

Having lived off the grid for the last 7 years, you see 'em come, and you see 'em go.  The dozens of people we've seen succeed and the dozens of people we've seen fail gave us a keen eye to the attributes necessary to be a survivalist.  Like we've told many people before, no matter how prepared you think you are, you're gonna go through some changes!  So after many years of observation, below are listed the 6 essential traits every survivalist should possess to be successful.

1. Tenacity ("stick-to-it-ness").  This more than anything else has beaten many a would-be survivalist.  We knew a young couple from TX who bought a 5 acre parcel in a very rural, mountain subdivision.  They purchased a camper and a 40' shipping container and filled them with supplies.  Before they ever made the move, the husband freaked out when he discovered that there wereants on the property!  (Aren't ants everywhere?)  These weren't Fire Ants, just plain old picnic ants, and it was a real problem for him, resulting in their abandoning the property for the comfort of their old apartment.   The ants were just his way out of a situation he never was committed to in the first place.

As Sun Tzu said, "No one can ever be defeated who has made a strong resolve to win."

2. Resourcefulness – in today's modern world, being resourceful usually means knowing what aisle at home depot has that pair of pliers.  What we're talking about here is true resourcefulness. Resourcefulness like building a house out of local rocks and local adobe, taking apart another house to use the lumber for your roof. Resourcefulness like butchering a chicken, foraging for Navajo figs, Yucca fruit and Pinion nuts, and then creating a glorious dinner with them.  Resourcefulness like seeing the potential in a junker truck or a broken washing machine to be used in a new way.  There is a house outside of Taos NM that was built entirely out of adobe and the windows from an abandoned truck, total cost for the house, $200 for 20 bags of lime.

Resourcefulness is thinking outside the box.

3. Thick Skin – There will be countless people all around you who are more than willing to tell you you're crazy.  You need to understand that you're the one who is seeing the world unveiled. Most people are very reluctant to admit that they are a product of television programming. Edward Bernaise coined the term "programming" because that's exactly what he intended.  TV was developed to program society to take certain actions, feel certain emotions, want certain items and live a certain way – and to fear those who do not.  Many people will try to validate their life choices by convincing you that you made the wrong choice, not them.  Also, those who will try to take advantage of you are all too common.  Many people who are conscious enough to be looking for a better way to live tend to be overly charitable.  Be on the look out for those who are on the look out for you.  Being kind is one thing, being a fool is another.

If you've been given the gift of a vision of a better life, don't let someone take that away.

4. Improvise, Adapt and Overcome – This is the mantra of the U.S. Marines and should be the mantra of every survivalist.  To improvise means to take what you have and use it in unconventional way to accomplish your goals, such as removing the alternator from a car and giving it new life as a generator to power your home.    To adapt means to make course adjustments along the way to accomplish your goal, such as changing your house plans from stick-built to rock construction because rocks are plentiful.  To overcome means to let nothing stand in the way of accomplishing  your goals – to know that you can solve any puzzle put before you, face any foe and triumph.

Be flexible and ready to make adjustments.

5. Solidarity – with everyone in your party.  Whether you are a family or non-related group, everyone  should be striving towards a common goal.  This is much overlooked, however, crucial.  I can't tell you how many times a wife or husband has asked us to convince their spouse of the importance of preparing.  You must all be of the same resolve deep within to be successful.  A disgruntled spouse or family member can scuttle the entire enterprise, whether overtly or covertly, often even below the consciousness of the scuttler.

Have a sincere talk with anyone you plan on joining forces with and make sure everyone is on the same page.

6. Trust – not trust in foolishness, meant only to create self-sabotage,  but real trust in yourself, in your own abilities.

And trust in a universal energy, a natural law that knows the difference between right and wrong and will lead you towards right, if you listen.

Secrets to Staying Healthy
By  Herbalist Wendy Wilson

We are going to take a look at some health secrets to keep us healthy not only just during the flu season but all year round. One statistic I came across is that more than 2 million Americans pick up illnesses when visiting their doctor's office. Medical doctors my wash their hands in between patients but not their stethoscopes. You might have wondered why your doctor never seems to get sick. Does your doctor write himself a prescription for drugs to stay healthy? The answer is most commonly, "No." You are not the only one concerned about side effects and pharmacist errors. In one survey over half the pharmacists admitted they filled the wrong prescription because they couldn't read the doctor's handwriting. Your doctor knows this all too well and will use the enzyme nutrition in foods and the phyto-chemcials in herbs to stay healthy. So can you.

DOCTOR'S    SECRETS TO HEALTH
        You medical doctor you pay a lot of money to go see has his own protocol for staying healthy. First, they use food instead of prescribed drugs. They wash their hands a lot to cut down on the transportation of germs to the face and digestive system. They also use folk medicine; herbs and homeopathic formulas, even though they may be scientifically unproven to work. So, your medical doctor may not admit that he uses diet, exercise and herbs to keep from catching infections, to keep from needing cholesterol or blood pressure drugs, to keep from getting arthritis, Alzheimer's and even cancer. You might be saying that your conventional medical doctor who is carefully monitoring your test results while you take dangerous drugs would not use alternative remedies and deliberately keep that a secret from you. Oh yes he would and he is keeping it a secret from his colleagues, office employees and any former spouses or risk sanctions from his medical board. That's right; your doctor is using forbidden cures the medical establishment disapproves of.

THEIR    HERB OF CHOICE
        So, what kind of herbs might your medical doctor tap into in order to never use his sick days at work? They like Astragalus root. Originally it was cultivated from China and this herb is now grown in the United States Why are doctors using it? Dozens of studies have shown that it helps the body's own natural immunity work better then everyone else's buy utilizing the herb's high concentration of zinc. Astragalus root gives anyone who uses it the advantage especially during the flu season. If you layer the Astragalus root with Dandelion root it is a dynamic duo to kill cancer cells – all kinds of cancer. So, is your doctor lining up for mammograms and other x-ray tests for cancer? No, they are taking Dandelion root.  The other herb doctors like to use to stay healthy is Echinacea root. This root is to be used in short bursts to prevent the immune system from being over stimulated.

"I take yoga and massage as my medicine. Herb tea also does wonders for me."
        Robynne    Chutkan, MD

WHAT    ABOUT PAIN?
        Everyone has pain from time-to-time. What do doctors do about their pain? Do they pop Tylenol®, aspirin or ibuprofen? No, do you think they want bleeding ulcers, immune system, kidney or liver malfunction? No, they stay clear of the FDA approved pain relievers. They typically do two things, they will ground their static electricity (which is in their bodes) to normalize electrical flow. They know that the modern lifestyle produces a lot of dirty electricity and it has negative affects on the human body. So, they make sure they rub their feet in the grass or take a walk on the beach. To remove any inflammation they don't use steroids and use a natural anti-inflammatory like willow bark and meadow sweet herbs.

WHAT    ABOUT TRAUMA?
        If there is damage say to bone, ligaments or cartilage no surgeon could cure; your doctor will again turn to nutrition to help restore and regenerate. Some herbs will contain the correct ratio of nutrition the body can use to quickly regenerate tissue. Calcium, magnesium and boron are essential to restoring bones, ligaments, tendons and cartilage but the body needs this nutrition in a 2:1 ratio (2 parts calcium and 1 part boron and 1 part magnesium). If you get the ratio off, say 10 parts calcium and a little boron and no magnesium (found in cow's milk) you won't absorb enough calcium to restore tissue. Doctors know you will find the right amounts of calcium, magnesium and boron in horsetail herb, lobelia herb, comfrey and oat straw. You will find these herbs in Calcium Formula liquid made by Apothecary Herbs.

DOROTHY GOES TO OZ
        There are millions of people following the advice of the celebrity doctors on TV. Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Nancy Synderman. They have gone on TV and have given the general public two messages regarding flu shots; Get your dam vaccine but at home I am not a doctor I'm a parent and my kids won't be getting those vaccines (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40f8qK1C4TE and http://www.examiner.com/article/h1n1-vaccine-debate-heats-up-dr-oz-admits-his-wife-and-children-won-t-be-vaccinated).

OWN    ADVICE
        So why are doctors not taking the same advice they give to you and me? There are many reasons and some of them are the same ones you have. Doctors tend to be highly trained professionals who learn that in their profession there are no prevention-type treatments. They are also highly compensated and most will not ditch their paycheck. It is much easier to tell their patients to just get their flu shot and support the drug cartel for the rest of their life.

TAKING    NATURAL MEDICINE
        Millions of people are turning to natural medicines to heal themselves. Some folks may not know it but when they do that they are taking their doctor's secret remedies. As more and more research supports natural therapies and drug studies are exposed to be fraud; herbs and organic foods become more popular and inviting. So, do yourself a favor, learn how to use God's good herbs to not only keep you healthy but also offer you safe options to reverse illness. Psychopaths Determining What is "Ethical"
      by Rebecca Carley, MD
      www.reversingvaccineinduceddiseases.com

    The definition of "ethics" is the study of the general nature of morals and of specific moral choices.   It is self evident that medical doctors should have the highest ethics of any profession, since they have the lives of their patients in their hands.  Student doctors are led to believe that they are being trained to provide health care to patients.  At graduation from medical school, all students recite the "Hippocratic Oath":  The following is what I raised my right hand and recited at my graduation from SUNY Downstate Medical School in 1987:
"I do solemnly swear by that which I hold most sacred:

That I will be loyal to the profession of medicine and just and    generous to its members;

That I will lead my life and practice my art in uprightness and    honor;

That whatever house I shall enter, it shall be for the good of    the sick to the utmost of my power;

That I will hold myself aloof from wrong;

That I will exercise my art solely for the cure of my patients,    and will give no drug and perform no operation for a criminal purpose;

That whatsoever I shall see or hear of the lives of my men and    women that should not be spoken, I will keep secret;

These I do promise, and in proportion as I am faithful to this my oath, may happiness and good repute be ever mine."
Note that the first statement involves being loyal to the PROFESSION, not the patient. This allows all the succeeding statements to be ignored, since the medical profession has become more and more corrupted by big pharma.  Thus to be loyal to the profession, one has to participate in the cover up of that corruption.  An excellent article re: how big pharma is paying off doctors for "speaking, consulting and research" can be found at http://www.naturalnews.com/036816_eli_lilly_payoffs_doctors.html.

When I first discovered and documented that vaccines are actually bioweapons which create disease, I went looking into the "Code of Medical Ethics" published by the AMA.  In the 150th Anniversary Edition (published in 1997), I found the following under ""The Relation of Law and Ethics" on page 1:  Ethical values and legal principles are usually closely related, but ethical obligations typically exceed legal duties In exceptional cases of unjust laws, ethical responsibilities should supersede legal obligations". Obviously this is not their true policy, as I learned what happens when a medical doctor speaks out against mandated vaccines.

Interestingly, in researching the history of the AMA's "Code of Medical Ethics", I came across the first version available at http://www.ama-assn.org/resources/doc/ethics/1847code.pdf (from 1847).  On page 26 0f 26, you will find the following:
"§ 4. It is the duty of physicians, who are frequent witnesses of the enormities committed by quackery, and the injury to health and even destruction of life caused by the use of quack medicines, to enlighten the public on these subjects, to expose the injuries sustained by the unwary from the devices and pretensions of artful empirics and impostors. Physicians ought to use all the influence which they may possess, as professors in Colleges of Pharmacy, and by exercising their option in regard to the shops to which, their prescriptions shall
            be sent, to discourage druggists and apothecaries from vending quack or secret medicines, or from being in any way engaged in their manufacture and sale."
            The definition of "quack" is "an untrained person who pretends to have medical knowledge".  Thus, it is self evident that the AMA has been creating quacks with their medical colleges who are then instructed to expose true healers who they deem quacks.  Of course, the creation of insurance (which only covers the allopathic quack treatments) has been very effective in getting people to keep the white coats in business; even as more and more pediatricians are aiding and abetting social services from kidnapping their children, etc.  The good news is, people are waking up and checking things out for themselves!

I was thrilled to find the following comment regarding the Hippocratic oath at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/doctors/oath_doctors.html re: the Hippocratic Oath today, (doctor's responses):
"As a senior medical student about to move on to residency, the overwhelming emotion I have at this time is one of disillusionment. At the heart of the Hippocratic Oath, both classical and modern, is the vow to avoid doing harm and to help when appropriate and necessary. Yetmedical education, both undergraduate and graduate, brutalizes its students.

Sleep deprivation is the norm —I have seen residents working up to 120 hours a week. With such inhuman work hours for so many years, alienation from one's family, health, and peace of mind is often the result. Falling asleep at the wheel is common, and deaths of both residents and medical students have been noted in the press. Medical mistakes are inevitable when people are so exhausted. The medical literature clearly and unequivocally states the risk to health and even life when people are sleep deprived, but medical educators seem to believe that somehow, magically, doctors can rise above their own physiology. Physical and psychological abuse from attending physicians are common complaints of both residents and students.

To quote from the Annals of Internal Medicine, "For many residents, fatigue cultivates anger, resentment, and bitterness rather than kindness, compassion, or empathy" (Annals of Internal Medicine123(1995):512-517). How are we to provide compassionate care to others when our own educational system is the model of abuse? Primum non nocere indeed—the hypocrisy of this oath is that we can't even manage to muster nonmaleficence to practitioners of our own profession, let alone our patients.
            —Anonymous"
            What I have realized is that sleep deprivation and brutalization of young doctors is done intentionally so as to remove compassion, humanity and their very conscience from them; for, as they come to realize that creation of disease and depopulation is the goal of mediSIN,  they may join with me to cause a massive awakening to put an end to it.
